You've come to the right place. My name is Urhonda Dakota Smith. For the past 5 years, our music school specializes in teaching kids and adults fundamentals of music on such instruments as piano electronic keyboard. Also, we teach other art forms such as voice, dance, and drama. The name “Everlasting Talent” speaks to inner passions for creativity
and expression. Everlasting Talent
students will embrace learning music and the arts in an inspiring and upbeat
atmosphere. As director of
Everlasting Talent, I recall that my father named me after a famous jazz singer.
That choice was a statement of purpose for my life.
It was directional - music and the arts have always been part of my
life…my destiny…and it is more of a reality through the creation of
Everlasting Talent School of Performing Arts.
Through extensive
training in music, voice, writing and producing songs, I desire to share what I
have learned with students. The
creative skills I have acquired are at the forefront of my life.
Now, students can realize and develop talents that can open doors for
possible college scholarships, professional careers, innovative businesses and
an exciting and fulfilling life. Expression is the eyes of life. How can we
sense love without it being expressed? Learning
how to express yourself is essential in the arts.
Everlasting Talent teaches different art forms of expression, verbally
and nonverbally. Interaction with
peers and teachers, individual and group performances, and dedicated home
practices are expected from all students. These
expectations help to develop the foundation of expression; which are comfort,
confidence, creativeness and control. Achieving a proficient skill level is the goal our instructors have for each student.
Everlasting Talent uses various tools to keep students motivated,
including parental involvement, speakers, and field trips to help them learn and
reach the level of fluency. The community,
the state and the world-at-large … for generations …will be impacted by an
alumni of skilled and anointed students who chose to cultivate their talents and
fulfill their vision by entering the doors of Everlasting Talent School of
